Inquiry and Maker-Centered Learning Parent-Child Workshop (BV)

At Victoria Belchers Kindergarten, we are dedicated to helping parents understand their children’s daily learning experiences and the role of exploration in their education. On 9th October 2024, we hosted a dynamic parent-child workshop focused on “Inquiry-based Education” and “Maker Centered Learning (MCL).” This interactive workshop emphasized “hands-on practice” and “meaningful interactions,” allowing families to collaborate creatively. Parents were introduced to MCL thinking routines and methods, which they used to construct small cars from various materials and discover ways to propel them forward. The enthusiastic participation from both parents and children made for a valuable and enjoyable learning experience. We look forward to more opportunities to engage families in the learning journey!
