Information Technology Technician

We seek a highly motivated, high calibre professional to join our Information Technology & Systems team for Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO). Reporting to the Senior IT Manager of VEO, the IT Technician will be responsible for helping to maintain seamless network operations and software applications across the School’s campuses, working closely with the IT Team, Campus and Administration Teams to support the School’s digital and technological learning needs.
 
The successful candidate will:
Possess relevant IT experience working in teams providing client support and solutions;
Be a problem solver, capable of prioritising and clearly communicating individual and department values and needs;
Be a team player, able to work with others to high performance levels;
Interact effectively with all stakeholders of the School, including teaching and non-teaching staff, finance, administration and marketing teams.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
-Together with the IT Team, support the Senior IT Manager in IT operations including:
-Maintaining and ensuring the performance of all computer equipment on campuses;
-Maintaining all resources in the server room including server array, backup systems, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, Internet connectivity and central management systems;
-Maintaining and supporting networking equipment across campuses including network switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, servers and internet connectivity;
-Designing and implementing efficient imaging, software deployment and updating environment and processes;
-Daily backup, archiving, housekeeping and other maintenance tasks on a regular and as required basis;
-Maintaining proper licensing for software;
-Serving as first point-of-contact for support and troubleshooting for computer equipment;
-Assisting to take photos at school events.
 
Job Requirements
 
Candidates must possess the following skills:
 
Diploma/degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
4+ years’ relevant IT experience;
Strong technical skills and a positive attitude;
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, and a results-driven mentality;
Independent worker, willing to support new projects and ideas;
Reliable and trustworthy with integrity and values consistent with VEO;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and engage effectively with stakeholders to ensure a quality experience is achieved;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to effectively coordinate tasks and priorities;
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese;
Experience in digital educational and virtual learning programs is preferred, but not required.
 
Familiarity with the following Technologies would be an asset:

Curriculum Specialist and Educator (Playgroup)
 
We seek a highly motivated, strategic thinking professional to help lead our curriculum development for playgroup. Reporting to our Academic Head and working with our Principal Advisor, Campus Heads and Teachers, the Playgroup Curriculum Specialist and Educator will be responsible for continuously developing the curriculum, sharing best practices across our playgroup campuses, coordinating and delivering training and supporting the teachers.
 
The successful candidate will:
Possess minimum 5 years experience at a playgroup, working with infants under 3 years of age;
Have experience with writing curriculum for playgroup and/or teaching experience in sensory and kinesthetic pedagogies 
Display creativity and flexibility in teaching methods and approaches;
Be adaptive to different formats of delivery structures;
Be a team player, able to motivate team members to high performance levels;
Be a strategic thinker, capable of short and longer term planning
Interact effectively with all stakeholders of the School, including academic, teaching and non-teaching staff.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
Together with the Academic Head, the Playgroup Curriculum Specialist and Educator will be responsible for the academic curriculum, teaching, delivery and training; s/he will write, develop and fine-tune the curriculum, providing ongoing feedback to teaching staff, working with the playgroup campuses to continuously develop our teaching methods, establish teaching metrics and share best practices. The Playgroup Curriculum Specialist and Educator will also be expected to teach as needed when required.
 
 Job Requirements
 
Candidates must possess the following skills:
 5+ years’ relevant playgroup experience, with preferably demonstrated experience in leading a team;
Strong decision making ability, and willingness to support new projects and ideas;
Degree in education and/or teaching, preferably in Early Years Education;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, clearly communicate priorities, as well as engage effectively with stakeholders;
Strong curriculum development and writing skills, and a positive attitude;
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, and a results-driven mentality;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to effectively coordinate tasks and priorities;
Bi-lingual in English and Chinese would be an advantage.



Early Childhood Educator (Playgroup)

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, qualified, fluent English speaking Early Childhood Educators who are committed to working in a dynamic environment. Candidates will hold appropriate qualifications eg. Bachelor in Education or Post Graduate Diploma in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, in order to be registered as a teacher in Hong Kong. Five teaching day per week on Monday to Saturday.
Successful applicants will be employed on an initial two-year contract and the excellent employment package will include:

Requirements:
Native English speaker
Valid HKID holder / have a valid work visa in Hong Kong
Possess relevant undergraduate degree and with recognized teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education) or (A Bachelor Degree plus PGCE / PGDE qualification or equivalent)
