Belcher – Lovingly crafted and nurtured

“Po Tsui” – the Chinese name of our campus also means emerald in Chinese. The name brings to mind fine craftsmanship and precious stones! Just like gems, our children need to be lovingly crafted and nurtured. Our school is designed with an outstanding environment, this together with teachers’ professional knowledge for child-centered learning and teaching, which coincides with the new trends in early childhood education, ensures children have a secure foundation. Over the past few years, it has been wonderful to see colleagues providing the children with a wealth of material to allow them to build their knowledge through their own experience. Our teachers thus become the children’s biggest supporters and navigators, while adopting professional perspective to observe each child’s unique learning journey. I am fortunate to work with a group of professionals endowed with a rich sense of responsibility to create an interactive learning environment that is safe, loving, trusting, understanding, respectful and enjoyable – all attributes which are in keeping with the mission statement of Victoria Educational Organisation.
